For Consumers

Get help paying for coverage

Depending on your household income, you may qualify for financial assistance or free coverage if you shop through the Exchange, Washington Healthplanfinder (www.wahealthplanfinder.org).

Free coverage

If your household earns less than 138 percent of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), you may qualify for free coverage through Medicaid (Apple Health) (www.hca.wa.gov).

Financial aid through the Exchange

If you buy a health plan through the Exchange, you may qualify for financial assistance that would lower your plan's premiums and out-of-pocket costs.

To qualify for a premium tax credit (www.healthcare.gov), your household income needs to fall within 138 and 400 percent of the FPL.
