The 1688 behavioral health crisis services work group suggests ways to improve the current system for handling behavioral health crises.

Adult family home liability market study work group

The Washington state Legislature asked us to convene a working group to look at the difficulties adult family home operators face finding affordable insurance.

Behavioral health services federal grant

We received two federal grants, totaling over $900,000, to study access to mental health and substance use disorder services in state-regulated health plans.

Essential health benefits benchmark plan

We reviewed our state’s Essential Health Benefits (EHB) benchmark health plan to decide whether to ask the federal government for approval to update the plan.

Ground ambulance advisory group

We worked with the Department of Health and the Health Care Authority to study balance billing from ground ambulance services.

Palliative care benefit work group

The Legislature directed our office and the Health Care Authority to design the parameters of a palliative care benefit for fully insured health plans.

Wildfire property mitigation standards work group

The Legislature has asked the Insurance Commissioner and the Lands Commissioner to co-chair a working group to provide recommendations to the Legislature on wildfire related mitigation standards for residential property.
