This second workshop covers information for navigating the first month after a wildfire. In addition to information from our OIC insurance experts, the National Insurance Crime Bureau will provide tips on preventing fraud and scams, and the non-profit organization United Policyholders will share best practices on wildfire recovery. The presentations will be followed by Q&A, including one-on-one assistance. Parking is free in the evening; no parking pass is needed.

Starting Sept. 14, the workshops will be held the second Monday of every month from 6 – 8:30 p.m. The presentations will be recorded for viewing afterwards so if you missed any presentations you can catch up below.

This first workshop covers information for navigating the initial weeks after a wildfire, including starting a claims journal, avoiding scams, understanding your insurance policy, and best practices for communicating with your insurance company.
