The one-year life line of authority producer license requirement

  • If you have held an active producer license with a life line of authority (LOA) for at least one year, you may apply for a life settlement broker license. If you're a non-resident applicant, you have to have a life line license in Washington state and you have to have held a life line license in your home state for at least a year.
  • If you haven't held a producer license with a life LOA for at least one year, you cannot apply for this license.
  • Individual resident applicants will need to have their fingerprints taken again if their last set is more than a year old. Please note that you cannot schedule your fingerprint appointment before you've submitted your license application. You will need either your OIC or NIPR transaction number to schedule your appointment. Your transaction number can be found in the license application confirmation email we sent you or the order history in your NIPR Licensing Center account. There is no fingerprint requirement for individual non-resident applicants.
