The Office of the Insurance Commissioner has contracts with PSI Services, LLC (PSI) to provide insurance license examinations in Washington state.
PSI test centers are open. Remote testing is also available but a system check of your computer is necessary before registering. Candidates are encouraged to register online since call waiting time to the reservation center could be backlogged.
Due to the recent and continued high volume of inbound calls, PSI's exam scheduling call center has announced additional hours of operation to assist Washington state callers with scheduling their insurance exams. Beginning Saturday, August 1, the hours of operation will expand as follows:
- Monday - Friday 2:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. PST
- Saturday/Sunday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. PST
Additionally, Washington state callers will have a dedicated phone number to contact PSI. Beginning August 3, Washington state license candidates may reach PSI at 855-205-5825.
Registration and scheduling
If you need to schedule an insurance examination or request a copy of your examination score report contact PSI via their website (www.psiexams.com) or call them at 855-205-5825.
You will have the option to take your exam at any of the 10 established test centers or find out if you are eligible to use the remote testing option.
Remote testing
Remote testing means that you may take your exam at home.
In order to qualify for this option, there are specific requirements. When you register to take your test remotely, you'll need to have a laptop or desktop computer (not a smartphone or tablet). Your device will be tested for compatibility at the time you register. If your device or internet connection do not meet the criteria, you'll have to set an appointment to test at a physical PSI location.
Remote testing is a new testing platform that was released Oct. 1, 2019.
If you have questions about remote testing, contact PSI.
