During the annual open enrollment period, you can buy health care coverage directly from an insurance company for yourself or for your immediate family. As another option, you can buy health care coverage through the Washington Healthplanfinder (www.wahealthplanfinder.org), where you might qualify for help paying your premium.

  Important: The annual open enrollment period for 2023 is closed. If you missed this enrollment period, you can still enroll if you qualify for Apple Health (www.hca.wa.gov) or a special enrollment period. 

Apple Health

If you can't afford coverage for you or your kids, you may qualify for our state’s Apple Health (www.hca.wa.gov) program. You can sign up for it through the Washington Healthplanfinder (www.wahealthplanfinder.org) at any time throughout the year.

Medicare

If you're age 65 or if you've been on Social Security Disability for at least 24 months, you may qualify for Medicare.
