How to participate in the rulemaking process

The public can participate in the rulemaking process by:

We formally ask for comments when we publish notices of intent (CR-101s) and proposed rules (CR-102s), but comments are accepted at any time during the rulemaking process. Send comments to the rules coordinator.

All comments receive a response via the Concise Explanatory Statement released at the end of the rulemaking process. Sign up for rulemaking-activity notifications.
