Why can’t I find the order I’m looking for?

Check for pre-2015 orders in Disciplinary and General Orders (fortress.wa.gov). You can find financial filings and market conduct orders here: 

How long are orders available on the website?

Orders are available ten years from the calendar year following the issue year. Example: For orders issued in 2014, 2015 is the first year of the 10-year period.

Can the Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) give me legal advice?

No. The OIC can explain its interpretation of a rule or law but can't recommend an action regarding a specific factual circumstance or potential legal proceeding.

How can I get information about hearings or the hearings process?

Visit the administrative hearings section of the OIC's website.

Talk to one of the insurance experts in the OIC's Consumer Advocacy division.

Where can I go for answers to questions about my producer license, continuing education and other licensing issues?

Licensees can contact Producer Licensing and Oversight online or call them at 360-725-7144.

How do I report insurance fraud or scams?

You can report fraud and scams, file a complaint or check the status of your complaint online.
