Access to behavioral health services grant advisory committee

The Office of the Insurance Commissioner created an advisory committee to inform its work on the behavioral health services grant. Committee members will be asked to share their expertise and provide input into key grant activities, through:

  • Input to OIC on issue areas to focus on, through both the market scans and a consultant's review of carrier medical necessity and prior authorization policies and procedures.
  • Reacting to the aggregated results of the market scans, the consultant's analysis and OIC's analysis of behavioral health clams data. 
  • Offering input on how to best address any challenges to behavioral health services access or parity compliance issues that are identified through the grant activities.
