Our Consumer Outreach and Disaster Response Program aims to reduce the number of underinsured people in our state before a disaster strikes. It also places our experts at disaster recovery centers to support communities during some of their most challenging days.
When the Emergency Management Division establishes a disaster recovery center, we'll be there. Look for us if you need help with the claims process, understanding your policy and coverage, or assistance filing a complaint against an insurer.
Insurance preparedness resources
When people prep for disaster, they often think about stocking extra water and food, keeping extra batteries, and making sure they have enough first-aid supplies. Understanding your insurance coverage and making sure it's sufficient should also be part of your disaster prep checklist.
