Special Investigations Unit
Our Special Investigations Unit (SIU) was created by the 2006 State Legislature to fight criminal insurance fraud in Washington state. The unit took its first case in January 2007. In its first 18 months of operation, the SIU uncovered nearly $1.8 million in insurance fraud.
