Submit a continuing education (CE) course roster
The online roster program requires providers to report CE credits for licensees within 10 days of course completion. Our online roster program will accept a late roster but repeated violations of the 10-day roster rule can result in an enforcement action.

Your User ID begins with the letters EDU, followed by your provider number. Example: EDU111111.
For a classroom course, there must be two Washington state insurance licensees in attendance at the classroom for the course to be eligible for CE credit. Therefore, if there is only one Washington licensee on the roster, we will contact you to request the attendance register. You cannot submit a roster for a classroom course with one attendee unless:
- At least two Washington insurance licensees sign-in on the attendance register at the class,
- You try to enter two Washington insurance licensees on the roster, but you get the error message that one licensee has repeated the course,
- You contact us before submitting the roster if you are unsure the classroom course qualifies for CE credit, or
- This regulation does not apply to webinar or self-study courses.
If you offer the same course twice in once day, you must combine the courses into one roster. Submit one roster, per course, per day. For example, If there was a morning presentation of the course (one-to-four-hour course) and an afternoon presentation of the same course, you can only submit one roster for the day.
If the same course is presented in two locations on the same day, there can only be one roster; combine the attendees into one roster.
If the attendee has already used the course for CE credit in their current license renewal cycle, he or she cannot be added as an attendee. You will receive an error message.
You can add an attendee after a roster has been submitted. You cannot remove an attendee. You can change the course completion date on the roster until an attendee has used the course for license renewal. To correct a roster error, email our education analyst and submit the following:
- Provider number,
- Course number,
- Completion date,
- Instruction method, and
- Correction needed.
Credit requests from producers
If a producer initially declines insurance CE credit on the registration form and it can be documented, the 10-day rule is temporarily suspended. If the producer later decides to request CE credit, you have 10 days to submit the roster and issue a certificate from the date you are notified the producer would like CE credit.
Your instructor credits
To give an instructor CE credit for the course you will need to enter the instructor name under "instructor" then add the instructor as an "attendee" also. To receive credit, the instructor must present the entire course or if there is more than one instructor, each instructor requesting CE credit must sign the attendance register and remain for the entire course. The instructor can only receive credit for the course once each license renewal cycle.
