Public adjuster license

An adjuster is a person who investigates or reports claims arising under insurance contracts. A public adjuster represents the interest of the insured. See RCW 48.17.010 (www.apps.leg.wa.gov).

  1. Meet the experience and education requirements.
  2. Schedule and pass your exam (www.pearsonvue.com).
  3. Have your fingerprints taken.
  4. Apply for your license online.

Have your proof of experience, exam score report and bond information (PDF, 19KB) ready; you'll need to attach them electronically or mail them in.
