Independent adjuster license

An adjuster is a person who investigates or reports claims arising under insurance contracts. An independent adjuster represents the interest of the insurer. See RCW 48.17.010 (www.app.leg.wa.gov).

To obtain an independent adjuster license, complete the steps below.

  1. Meet the experience and education requirements,
  2. Schedule and pass your exam (www.pearsonvue.com),
  3. Have your fingerprints taken, and
  4. Apply for your license online.

Have your proof of experience and exam score report ready; you'll need to attach them electronically or mail them in.
