Advisory Committee

Purpose

The advisory committee makes recommendations to the Insurance Commissioner regarding any proposed changes to the PCIP-WA policies regarding eligibility, rates and benefits and approval of premium sponsorship for eligible individuals.   

The Advisory Committee also makes recommendations to the Commissioner regarding outreach and education activities.

Message from Commissioner Kreidler:

“As Washington’s statewide-elected insurance commissioner, it is my responsibility to protect consumers while fostering a healthy insurance market.  One of my guiding principles is to engage in a ‘main street’ approach to stakeholder outreach – hearing from those on the ground, in their communities confronting the health care system on a regular basis.   For this reason I am establishing a Pre-exisitng Condition Insurance Plan-WA Advisory Committee.”
