The Office of the Insurance Commissioner began the Receivership on Great Republic Life Insurance Company, a Seattle based life insurer, under the authority of Thurston County Superior Court in July 2011. The Great Republic Life Insurance policies were assumed by United Security Assurance Company of Pennsylvania (WAOIC #500364) as of January 31, 2012. The Thurston County Superior Court closed the Receivership in December 2012.
