Resident viatical settlement broker applicants must qualify as a life insurance agent and be appointed by each viatical settlement provider represented.

For individuals

You can apply online or continue with the instructions below.

To satisfy qualification requirements, you must either be:

  • Licensed as a viatical settlement broker in your home state or
  • Have taken your home state's agent life exam in the last 2 years.
  • Have passed a life insurance agent’s exam in a state within the 2 year period immediately preceding the date of the application, or
  • Hold a valid license as a life insurance agent, or
  • Viatical settlement broker in the resident state.

  • License fee: $100/each.
    • Main location + each branch location within Washington.
  • Filing fee: $5.
  • Affiliation fee: $20.
  • Fingerprints (for individuals only): $49.25
