IMPORTANT: There are additional instructions for completing the uniform application in Washington state:

At the top of the, "Jurisdiction and Type of License Requested" page there is a key for abbreviations in the grid.

Just below these abbreviations, there are categories for Jurisdiction, License Type, Major Lines of Authority and Limited Lines of Authority.

  1. Find the WA grid line in the, "Jurisdiction" column.
  2. In the, "Limited Lines of Authority" section, on the WA grid line, please write, "Public Adjuster" in the, "Other" column.

 

If you are representing a business, include:

Do I have to take a test before I can be licensed?
Yes, if your resident state doesn't issue
adjuster licenses:
No, if your resident state issues adjuster licenses
  • You must take an adjuster exam from a state that issues adjuster licenses.

Please make checks payable to: Washington Insurance Commissioner. You may combine all fees on one check.

  • License fee: $50
  • Filing fee: $5
  • Fingerprint processing fee: $45.25
  • Affiliation fee: $20
