A fingerprint card is required when you apply for a license in Washington state unless you are a non-resident whose home state appears on the list below:

Florida	Nevada	Tennessee

How do I submit my fingerprints?

Submit your fingerprints on 1 fingerprint card.

We accept:

Any standard 8 x 8 fingerprint card.

You may request a blank card at licinfo@oic.wa.gov.

Electronically taken prints, as long as they are printed on a hard copy fingerprint card.

We do not accept electronically submitted (LiveScan) fingerprints.

Where can I get my fingerprints done?

Generally, your local law enforcement agency or city/county jail provides fingerprinting services.

For residents, some PearsonVue exam sites offer fingerprinting services. For more details contact them at 1-800-274-8949.
